The Los Angeles Lakers continue to dig themselves into a hole which will become more difficult to climb out of as the NBA season shifts into its final quarter of games. Last night, once again the Lakers fell to a team under .500 on the road as the Memphis Grizzlies defeated them 110-105. The Lakers are now two games under .500, in danger of missing the postseason after a much heralded summer of expectations led by LeBron James’ arrival.Read More
No one can deny Machado’s talent and ability, but I question San Diego’s timing in making this move. The club has had eight consecutive losing seasons and have not made the postseason since 2006. Through great scouting, they have amassed a wealth of minor league talent through the draft, trades and international signings. Entering last season, the Padres were ranked the #1 farm system in baseball highlighted by such names as Fernando Tatis Jr., MacKenzie Gore and Luis Urias.Read More
The 2018-19 renaissance of the Brooklyn Net franchise continued it’s momentum last night in Charlotte as the Nets outlasted the Hornets 117-115. A serious issue has plagued the Denver Broncos since their Super Bowl victory three seasons ago. That issue has been placing a quality QB under center. Since 2015, the Mile High residents have placed the likes of Trevor Siemian, Paxton Lynch, a revisit of Brock Osweiler and most recently last season, free agent signing Case Keenum. The results have been mediocre at best but for the most part, the Broncos have received subpar play at the QB position.Read More
IT is officially time to panic for L.A. Laker fans (if they haven't already 😨) The struggles continue for the Los Angeles Lakers in Lebron’s first season. They dropped a contest to the lowly Hawks (19-38) in Atlanta Monday night 117-113. Trae Young and John Collins led the way for the Hawks with 22 points apiece. Despite LeBron James recording a triple double (28 points, 11 rebounds, 16 assists), the Lakers still could not pull out the win.Read More
The Boston Celtics continued their dominance over the 76’ers last night with a 112-109 victory in Philadelphia. As Joel Embiid said at the beginning of the season about the perceived Celtic/Sixer rivalry, “This is not a rivalry. I don’t know our record against them, but it’s pretty bad. They always kick our ass.”Read More
